ORCID

ORCID ID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a unique 16-digit identifier. It allows for unambiguous distinction of authors with the same surname and appropriate assignment of publications to a person in scientific databases such as Scopus, Web of Science and others. The identifier can be integrated with other IT systems, i.e. bibliographic databases, grant platforms, university repositories, which facilitates automatic completion of information on scientific achievements.

Scopus Author Profile

The profile is a presentation of information about the scientist, collected from the metadata of indexed documents. It includes citation indicators, information about collaborators and fields of science in the author's area of interest.

Scopus Author Profile with a unique AuthorID number is assigned automatically by the system to each author whose at least two works are indexed in the database Scopus.

There is no way to manually create an author profile. Authors can correct information using the Author Feedback Wizard and integrate their profile with ORCID ID.

Scientist Profile in Web of Science

Researcher Profile in Web of Science (WoS) provides an overview of your scientific achievements, citation indicators and Hirsch index, as well as access to an overview of peer reviews, grant information and editorial information about a given journal.

Researcher Profile can be integrated with ORCID ID and automatically download publications assigned to your number. An author record includes the author's publication list, affiliation information, and alternate versions of the name and identifiers, such as Researcher ID and ORCID ID.

The author cannot add works to the profile that are not indexed in Web of Science, but can submit a correction to data already included in the database.

Scientist profile in the Polish Medical Platform of the Medical University of Lublin

Profile in Polish Medical Platform gives you the opportunity to create your complete business card, containing information about your research, teaching and popularisation activities, as well as projects, grants, membership in research groups, achievements, awards, organised conferences, etc.

The basic version of UMLub employee profiles is created by the Main Library and already contains data on the employment unit and publications registered in BPP. We encourage you to complete and update your profiles yourself - log in to PPM UMLor using the same data as for Mail/Intranet.

Participants of the Doctoral School who are not employees and are interested in creating their profile are asked to contact the Department of Digital Access to Collections by e-mail (cyfrowa@umlub.pl) with the following information: name and surname, album number, existing identifiers in other systems (such as ORCID, Scopus, WoS, number in the Bibliography of Publications of UMLub Employees, etc.), discipline.

The platform also offers the possibility of integration with the previously described systems (i.e. ORCID, Scopus, WoS) and creating a repository of your own works.
