MEDLINE Ultimate for New Users

A hands-on session where we’ll look at the search options in MEDLINE Ultimate. This rich, full-text database of medical articles features dedicated search and refinement options that are rarely found in other popular EBSCO databases. We’ll talk about the EBSCOhost Passport browser extension that PubMed users love. We’ll show you a new solution that makes it easier to create clinical queries using the PICO model.
EBSCO Country License Databases in the new EBSCOhost interface!

During the session, we will review EBSCO databases available under the so-called national license, which can be used by all universities and research institutions in Poland. The practical part of the training, during which we will show how to search resources, will be conducted on the new, refreshed interface of the EBSCOhost platform. Students and university employees have access to many extensive scientific databases reimbursed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The Academic Search Ultimate and Business Source Ultimate databases included in the package are among the most frequently used scientific resources in the world by leading academic centers.
How to Find Peer-Reviewed Materials in EBSCO Databases? Workshop on Creating Search Strategies

We will look at how to use Boolean operators, how to properly create an advanced search strategy, how to adjust search modes, how to use thesauri, how to use special characters and field codes for more precise searches.
CAB Abstracts with Full Text – the world's natural science literature at your fingertips

During the training, we will discuss the CAB Abstracts with Full Text database, which covers topics from the field of applied natural sciences - from agriculture, environment and veterinary sciences, to applied economics, recreation and nutrition. The database contains over 1,200 active full-text journals, of which almost 1,000 are active, full-text journals without embargo.
Finding information about the availability of publications in the library with Publication Finder
March 25, 2025, 10:00 (30 minutes) | Registration
During the training, the interface of the AZ publication list, also known as Publication Finder, will be presented. We will look at how to search for journals and e-books in the library resources, how to use available limiters and check the availability of titles.
