Students UMlub can use the Library’s collections on site – in the Main Reading Room, Computer Lab and the Student Branch of the Multimedia Reading Room at the CSM – and also borrow available items from the Lending Library. They also have guaranteed access to digital resources (e-books, e-journals, databases) from anywhere using remote access.

Rental Instructions
- Login
IN library catalog you should click on the Account button and select from the drop-down list Log inThen enter your login details: card number and password.
- Search
After finding the book you are interested in, you should select it (Details button), and then find the one you can borrow on the list of available copies. After clicking "Order", the book will go to your basket. You can continue browsing or go to the order basket.
- Finalizing your order
The order basket contains the items we have selected. After selecting the selected items, you can finalize the order (Send order button) or cancel it (Cancel order button).
- When using computers in the Library, please remember to: logging out from your account.
Ordered items that have been given the status "In progress" can be collected from the Main Library Lending Desk for the next 7 business days (14 days in October). Uncollected orders are returned to the warehouse and can be reordered.
UMlub students can borrow up to 25 items (until October 15 – 15 items) for a period of 4 months with the possibility of extension twice.
Extensions can be made:
- using your account at library catalog
- by email (udostepnianie@umlub.edu.pl)
- in person at the Rental Office at ul. Szkolna 18
Items reserved by other readers are not subject to renewal., they must be returned to the Library no later than the return deadline.
E-textbooks / Digital resources
Access to electronic resources from any device is possible within remote access after properly configuring your web browser.
We recommend above all e-textbooks – including on websites: IBUKLibra Whether Elibrary, and also others sources.

What if I don't have what I'm looking for?
If the Library does not have the publication you are looking for, you can ask about the possibility interlibrary loan or suggest it to us purchase.
Main Reading Room
Due to renovations, the Main Reading Room is unavailable to readers. We encourage you to use the temporary reading room in the Circulation Desk.
The Main Library Reading Room collection consists of textbooks, encyclopedias and dictionaries, and selected Polish medical journals. Use is based on free access to shelves. Materials available in the Main Library warehouses can also be ordered to the Reading Room.
Student Branch Multimedia Reading Room at CSM
The CSM Multimedia Reading Room contains textbooks included in the syllabuses for Polish and foreign language students. Access to them is possible during the academic year during librarians' duty hours.
It is also possible to use digital resources (e-books, e-magazines, databases) on available computer stations – all year round during the opening hours of the CSM Multimedia Reading Room.
Entry to the room outside the librarian’s duty hours (7:00 – 8:00 and 20:00 – 24:00) is possible after collecting a card at the reception desk of the Medical Simulation Centre.
Circulation cards
The condition for stamping the circulation card is the return of all borrowed books and settlement of any liabilities to the Library.After checking the status of the library account, the card is stamped by the Lending Desk employee on duty.
