We would like to inform you that in 2025 Modernization work will be carried out at the Main Library of the Medical University of Lublin as part of the project entitled "Ensuring contactless use of library resources and safe spaces for independent study in the Library building." The project is being funded by the National Reconstruction Plan KPOD.07.05-IP.10-0023/24 entitled "Modernization and furnishing of teaching facilities in connection with the increased admission limits to medical studies - Medical University of Lublin." Information on the availability of individual services provided by the Library can be found below and will be updated on an ongoing basis.

As part of its modernization efforts, the Main Library purchased three new-generation scanners, two of which are available to readers, and one will be dedicated to the Library's archiving work. Readers can use the scanners in the Circulation Desk and the Computer Lab, and ultimately in the Main Reading Room. To save scanned images, users must bring their own USB drive.

We would like to inform you that in An electronic reader is now available at the Library's lending library, which augments printed library collections and facilitates access for visually impaired individuals. The device was purchased as part of the project "Ensuring contactless use of library resources and safe spaces for independent study in the Library building." Ultimately, the reader will be available in the Reading Room after its modernization is completed.

We would like to inform you that despite modernization works and the holiday period The Main Library is open all the time and you can use all library services.
Books can be borrowed and returned at the Circulation Desk (ground floor), and we also invite you to use the temporary Reading Room and its resources: at the Circulation Desk (ground floor) or in the Computer Lab (room 107).
The building's modernization is still underway, but the noisy work will be temporary and should not significantly impede library use. We will provide advance notice of more disruptive modernization work.

Despite the unavailability of the Reading Room, we encourage readers to use the temporary reading room—station located in the Circulation Desk, where traditional and digital resources can be accessed on-site. You can also request photocopies of materials provided by the Library. You can also use the Computer Lab to study quietly using your own materials. Although the Library is undergoing renovations, it remains open during regular hours and is accessible to readers. No noisy renovation work is expected until May 10th.

From April 14, 2025, all books in the Reading Room will be available on-site, upon request, at the Lending Desk. The Reading Room is unavailable to Readers from April 14, 2025 until further notice.The lending library is open during Library opening hours.

The reading room in the Main Library building will be available to readers in its current form until April 12 (Saturday). From April 14 to 18, the reading room at 18 Szkolna Street will be closed.
From April 22, 2025 (Tuesday), it will be possible to use books from the Reading Room collections on-site at the Lending Desk, where several work stations will be available.
Computer stations will be available to Readers in the Computer Lab (including access to the Repository of Doctoral Theses and Standards) – room 107.
Students are welcome to use the resources of the Reading Room located in the Medical Simulation Center. Access to books in the Reading Room in the CSM is possible from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Reading Room in the CSM is available to students 24 hours a day. We remind you that electronic resources are available 24/7 for students, PhD students and employees of the Medical University of Lublin after configuring remote access (https://biblioteka.umlub.pl/info/zdalny-dostep/).
