We invite lecturers, students, and librarians to participate in free, open online training sessions in Polish, scheduled for November. During the sessions, we will present solutions, products, and their latest updates in an accessible way. We encourage you to share information about the training within the academic community.

Inspec with Full Text in practice – how to effectively search for literature in the field of science and technology

This training focuses on the Inspec with Full Text database, an advanced tool for searching scientific and technical literature. Participants will learn about full-text resources, specialized classification, and indexing of results in areas such as physics, electrical engineering, computer science, nanotechnology, and environmental sciences.

From diagnosis to decision: DynaMed as daily clinical support

Participants will explore the Central & Eastern European Academic Source database (which contains numerous journals from Central and Eastern Europe), learn basic and advanced search techniques (keywords, filters, languages, countries), and work with results (full text, export). This training is intended for researchers, students, and librarians working with literature from the region.

EBSCOhost in a PhD student's research work – a tool worth knowing

The goal of this training is to help doctoral students efficiently and confidently use the EBSCOhost platform—from basic functions to advanced search strategies and research data management. We'll show you how to formulate research queries, manage bibliographies, export results, use Boolean operators, filters, and delimiters (year, document type, language). We'll also provide tips on finding popular journals, identifying recent articles, tracking citations, and building a theoretical foundation for your doctoral dissertation.

MEDLINE Ultimate – an essential tool for medical researchers and practitioners

The purpose of this hands-on training is to demonstrate the capabilities of MEDLINE Ultimate—including searching, filtering results, working with full-text articles, and utilizing advanced interface features. The training will cover topics such as basic and advanced searches, narrowing results, and creating clinical queries (e.g., using the PICO model).

Getting Started with the EBSCO Platform – How to Effectively Search for Scientific Literature Date: November 24, 2025

This training is designed for new students who want to explore the capabilities of the EBSCOhost platform – one of the most important tools for searching scientific literature. During the training, we will demonstrate how to create targeted queries, use filters, and refine results to quickly find the articles and full-text publications they need. Participants will also learn how to save searches, use their personal folder, and effectively utilize the database in preparing term papers and research papers. The training is practical in nature, with examples that will facilitate their first independent searches.

New on EBSCO Platforms: Citation Counts, AI, and Natural Language Search

The training will discuss new features available on EBSCO platforms:

Citation Counts – a citation counter based on data from Scopus or the EBSCO Scholarly Graph, allowing you to quickly assess the impact of your publications. AI Insights – a feature that generates publication summaries using artificial intelligence, facilitating quick review of article content. Natural Language Search – a natural language search mode that allows you to formulate queries in a colloquial manner, without the need for complex keywords or Boolean operators. This makes searching more intuitive and conversational.
