Did you know that many valuable scientific publications can be found and read completely free of charge—no login or subscription required? In this era of global knowledge exchange, more and more scientists are choosing open access publishing. This allows your research results to reach a wider audience, and allows you to freely use the research of others.
During the presentation you will learn:
– what is open access and who bears the costs of publication,
– where to look for open access publications,
– what is the difference between the “gold”, “diamond” and “green” publishing models,
– what Creative Commons licenses are and what they are for from the perspective of the creator and the user.
